 Aqua Teen Hunger Force is a hilarious cartoon that features many uncanny villains…Here’s my top 6. 

6. Frat Aliens-  I had to mull over this pick for a while because really there are 5 great villains on Aqua Teen.  But I couldn’t pass up on the Frat Aliens; DP and Skeeter.  They’re appeal was how they partied with Shake and basically mocked the whole “Frat-boy” lifestyle and made it awesomely funny.  Best Line: “Had to do it on the inside or my Dad would totally kill me. Had to get wasted cuz it hurt like eight bitches on a bitch boat.”

5. The Broodwich and his Ax friends- This is something I think about every time I have a sub.  The Broodwich is the ultimate sandwich that Master Shake cannot seem to stop from eating even though he almost gets killed every time he does.  This, of course, results in classic lines by all the characters and Shake ultimately getting what the sandwich wanted.  Best Line: “It is the Broodwich, forged in darkness from wheat harvested in Hell’s half-acre, baked by Beelzebub, slathered with mayonnaise beaten from the evil eggs of dark chicken forced into sauce by the hands of a one-eyed madman, cheese boiled from the rancid teat of a fanged cow, layered with six-hundred and sixty-six separate meats from an animal which has maggots for blood!”

4. Mc Pee Pants/ Sir Loin/ Little Brittle- This is a 3-time (or 4- time as a worm) villain for the Aqua Teens.  The original MC Pants works the best but each time he shows up it makes up for some great Meatwad moments.  Every time he seems to have a hidden agenda in his songs, but they’re catchy and make me want to dance along with Meatwad.  Best Line: “Mess up the mix, mix up the mess, come on down yo, here’s the address at 6-1-2 Wharf Avenue, Right next to, gentlemen’s club.”

3. Cybernetic Ghost of Chrismas Past From the Future/ Turk-E-Tron- If you think realllllly long, drawn out, useless, boring, excessive, monotone, unrealistic stories are hilarious then you would agree with me on this one.  In Season 1 this villain comes to Carl and bugs him and the gang with his stories which work really well.  But when the same type villain comes on Season 2 as Tom Turkey for the Thanksgiving episode to try and save the turkey race from extinction. Illegal tacos are discussed along with the destruction of another television, this time by the drunk electronic turkey.  Best Line: “In the future tacos are banned… and I think we all know why….. anti-taco legislation!”

2. The Monninites- This is really everyone’s favorite villain so that’s why I had to put them at number 2 and make this list 6 villains long.  What can I say, Ignigknot and Err are pompous creatures from the moon that basically love to mess with the Aqua Teen gang.  My favorite of all their episodes is when they use a pyramid scheme to sell products to “Moon Masters”.  These guys showed up in just about 10 episodes and even have their own website that generates their best quotes.  The Moon Rulez!  Best Line: “Alright, when I say your name, you say ‘here.’ And we will assume ‘here’ is short for ‘here I am…rock you like a hurricane.”

1. The Wisdom Cube/ Dumbass Ahedratron- Many people would disagree with this as my number 1, but this villain will always be my favorite just like Master Shake will always be the best character on the show.  The Dumbass Ahedratron, who liked to call himself the Wisdom Cube, just showed up to the Aqua Teens and managed to bug them with his useless stories and jokes.  However, to the viewer this is hilarious and never gets old.  He even manages to trick Frylock, the smartest of the Aqua Teens, into believing he was actually wise.  He just beats out the Mooninites for this spot and you really can’t go wrong with any line that come out of his…..glowing cube.  Best Line(s): “Keep honking, I’m reloading my gun”; “Why don’t you sit over there and let me tell you a story. This one time, I ate boiled peanuts. I mean like, a whole lot of them, right? And I like to got sick, you know what I mean?”; “Is this the golf course? It is? Do you have 10 pound balls? No? Then how do you walk!? Hahahahah! How do you walk with tha– regular?”

TLC’s hit reality show Jon and Kate Plus 8 just scored huge on Monday night with 10.6 million viewers and once again putting TLC and the show back into the limelight.  The $75,000 per episode the family gets seems to have really paid off for TLC, so why is everyone up in arms?  The announcement that was promised for the episode turned out to be, no surprise, that the couple of 10 years has filed for divorce and will intend to split custody of their eight children at their $1.12 million home purchased just last year.  On the episode it was stated by both Jon and Kate that the split was a long time coming.  Just last season the show featured a special renewal wedding set in Hawaii for the couple and their kids.  However, it seems the show has taken complete transformation from a show of a nice family with cute and entertaining children to a show about two bitter adults and how they’re ruining their children’s lives.  The show won’t air a new episode till August but TLC can’t wait to grab the huge ratings this show will certainly put out.

      To me, this fits the model of how most reality shows go.  There always seems to be some kind of truth behind these shows, but then at some point they have to make a script to keep the show interesting to keep ratings up.  This is why the ratings of this show went from between 1 to 2 million at the series premiere “Surviving Sextuplets and Twins” and hung around 3 to 4 million for the first 3 seasons.  Then the tabloids took over during season 4 and ratings began to climb to 5 or 6 million and then peaked during this week’s episode.  This begs the question of why we even call these shows “reality” when really they seem to be scripted television with a lot of improv.  Why put up with this type of television when there are so many shows that are of really good quality and end up getting dropped for shows like this?  Just read Thomas’ top 9 list, and that’s just a very small number of shows that got cancelled.  So do yourself a favor, be an informed television viewer.  I love television and I watch a lot of it.  But I try my very hardest to avoid those shows that give us garbage television.  Watch something compelling and unreal.  Watch Lost.
